📍 Málaga Bans Fireworks During Christmas Festivities

Once again this year, Málaga has imposed a fireworks ban for the Christmas and holiday season to reduce noise and make celebrations safer and more pleasant for everyone.

The use of loud fireworks (such as petardos and other noisy pyrotechnics) is prohibited in most urban areas. Only in specific areas far from homes, busy streets and green zones is limited use allowed ,which amounts to almost no public firework use in practice.

What does this mean for you?

Visitors and locals can expect quieter festivities this year, with reduced noise that benefits pets, seniors and anyone sensitive to loud sounds.

The sale and use of fireworks is strictly controlled. Vendors need special permits to sell, and those caught selling or using fireworks without permission risk fines. Extra monitoring is in place in busy areas to ensure compliance and public safety.

Christmas in Málaga stays full of festive spirit, with beautiful lights, markets and events, now with a more relaxed and peaceful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
